To me, if you represent Christ, you must offer the spirit of hospitality and kindness. I'm not opposed to Christians offering a service and getting paid for it, but they don't have to be mean and ugly and rude. This lady fussed at me for putting my trash in the can for "overnight guests" only. She threaten to make some people leave because they went over the posted speed limit and I witnessed her zooming through the camp at 20 or 30 mph.

The other guy was so kind, willing to go the extra mile for his customers. He didn't talk about his spiritual standing or beliefs, didn't post the ten commandments on the wall, I don't know if he was a Christian or not...yet to me he seemed to be a better testimony and example of Christ's love than the other lady.

That was my point...I don't think most of my readers understood what I was asking. I was asking from the view point of the injured traveler. I think they thought I was asking from the other point of view or something.

I just saw it as the parable of the good Samaritan in a modern day setting. One person who is so busy talking like a Christian that she doesn't have time to be kind, and another person who is so busy being kind, he doesn't have time to preach and post scriptures on the wall. (There's nothing wrong with posting scriptures...but if you do, just live them out! Please!) ;)Lavonda Pflughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00537591041005129720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5305573774372669892.post-5631639036880202282010-06-01T13:15:29.928-05:002010-06-01T13:15:29.928-05:00In comparing the two campgrounds and in light of L...In comparing the two campgrounds and in light of Luke 10:25-37, what were YOU thinking?

If you answer this, please send it to me in an email also. As I was reading the verse in Luke I had to wonder what would I have done if I had seen that man. I would like to think that I would have been the one who took the man to the inn and left hime to be taken cae of but I have my days when I would have been the one who walked to the other side. I also have to say sadly enough that in my home based child care business I have found that I would rather do business with non Christians than with people who clame to be Christians or who go to Church. Just my thoughts.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5305573774372669892.post-23675090654730591822008-04-24T19:12:00.000-05:002008-04-24T19:12:00.000-05:00Looks to me like they are both your neighbors. Do they see us as bitter, complaining, legalistic "holier-than-thou" types, or do they see the love of Christ through us?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
