And I'm not sure that they are all pines. Some may be spruce or something else. Now climate does have something to do with which kind of trees grow where I'm sure. I never gave much thought to how many kinds of pine trees there are and that their characteristics (& cones) could be so different. I would have thought t...I find this so interesting. I would have thought that the farther North you went the bigger the pinecones got. I guess they need the heat to grow bigger.
