What is "It?"

Tag, you're IT! What's it?

Whatever IT is, I guess that's what I am. (At least for this post.) Carol over at Choose Joy tagged me a few days back. I'm just now getting around to playing. (I never was any good at the game.) I'm supposed to tell you 7 weird or random things about myself.

1. My name--all of it! Lavonda is not common. My parents dreamt of me while watching an animated Walt Disney movie so my second name is the same as, well, a four-legged supporting character. My maiden name (Formway) is the made up American version of a I-can't-pronounce-or-spell-it German name. When my great-great-great (I don't know how many greats) grandfather came here from Germany, he made up a name that Americans could pronounce, thus all Formways in the U.S. are related. The name has almost ceased to exist.

2. I was in the third grade for only two weeks.

3. When I was a little girl, I used to pretend I was a horse or a cow.

4. During my life I've collected rocks, thimbles, and recipes, but not dust.

5. I usually sleep through movies. (At home, not in the theater.)

6. I look a lot like my mother.

7. I never lived in a town until I got married (at the age of 17).

Now I'm supposed to tag 7 other people.

How about if I just tag all 10 of my followers? (Except Carol) Take time to click on their pictures. Some of them have blogs and some don't. But they are all nice people. Those of you who don't blog, just leave your comments or you 7 things here for us all to enjoy. You bloggers, blog about your 7 things and then run out and tag someone else. Okay? Be sure to share links and all that jazz.

Thanks for playing.

These are neat things about you. My dad didn't spend but a couple of weeks or so in the third grade.

I always enjoy your blog :)
Have a blessed evening!

7 things about me? That's hard even for me.

1. I am glad that my name is Brittney....My maiden name was Baker...and there was a "vote" for my name to be Cookie. Now really who could take that name for life. Thanks Mom and Dad for my " regular" name, even though I am the oldest Brittney that I know of.

2. I don't mind cooking..but I hate cleaning up

3. When other drivers do not drive as I think they should. I mentally blow them up.

4. I love the water, but cannot swim well and I hate water in my face.

5. I sometimes dream I am a good singer and make my living that way.

6. I want to know that when I draw..the picture I see in my mind is not the same as the one I see on the paper.

7. I really hate talking on the phone.

Don't know if you know any of those things or not.

As for the last blog...the what if game. I think that a lot. What if I had not married Terry. What if my kids were someone else. What if I had money to spend on stupid things. What if I had more money for charity. What if....my feet didn't hurt so much, or what if I had become something other than a dental assistant. , Oh the wonders of life.

Love the photo's on your sidebar of the wedding.

Hi Lavonda!

My grandaughter used to run around the house like a horse all the time. LOL!

My grandpa also changed his Italian name when he came to America. Of course I don't think we are related to all Dell's in the US. :)

Thanks for the tag. Ok, I'll have to think on this for a little bit. I think I've done this one twice, so need to come up with new weird/random stuff. :)

Have a great week!

You're seven things were awesome. How did you manage to skate on the third grade? I could have used that info many years ago!

I grew up on a ranch, so I identify with your not living in town, and playing like a farm animal. Most people can't understand how incredible it is to live without people on top of you all the time...Ah the freedom!

Britney-
Your seven were pretty cool, also!

Why did I spend only three weeks in the third grade? I know now that it was God's plan, but at the time...Well, it is kind of a long story. I'll tell you about it in a post. Come back in a day or two and I'll fill you in on the details and hopefully give you something to think about at the same time.

Travis, thanks for stopping by. I'll make it over to your blog in the next few days. I grew up on ranches in the Texas Panhandle. I was riding horses before I could walk. It has been a long time since I got to ride, but a country ranch kid is who I am deep inside. I was born in Clayton, so we've stomped some of the same ground. I'm looking forward to reading your blog.
Come back again soon!

So, I haven't read back in your whole blog, but congrats on the wedding. It is so bittersweet....and grandchildren....really, nothing better....and why do you travel around so much? Thanks for stopping by. Everyone else is getting my picture, so please try again. Thanks. Carol
